How do I put a customer on credit hold in Business Central?
The short answer
In standard Business Central:
- Search for Customers and open the customer card.
- In the Blocked field, choose Ship, Invoice or All, depending on how much you want to stop. A credit hold usually means Ship.
- To lift the hold later, set Blocked back to blank.
It is quick once you are on the card, but it is easy to lose track of who changed what and why.
The faster way
With Bee Solved, the AI Assistant for Business Central, you ask for the change in plain English, often straight after checking who is overdue.
Put Customer A on credit hold.
It sets Blocked to the level you ask for: Ship, Invoice or All. A credit hold usually means Ship, as in the example above. It shows a preview of the change first. A person confirms it, it’s logged, and it can be undone where your administrator has switched undo on. Nothing is saved until that confirmation, and the change is made with the permissions of the person asking.
Bee Solved works in Claude, ChatGPT or Microsoft 365 Copilot, and every confirmed change links straight to the record it touched.
Questions
Who can do this?
Only people an administrator has allowed to change customers.
Is the change recorded?
Yes. It is logged in Business Central: who asked, what changed and when.
Can I take the hold off again?
Yes. Ask for the hold to be lifted and confirm the preview, or change the customer card as usual. The AI change can also be undone where your administrator has switched undo on.
